Hi, Subscriber April 7, 2006 The key to maintaining full commitment is without exception
to stay completely focused on the final goal. To create habits
and routines that consistently keep this “final”
goal in clear focus. Here’s a metaphor that describes this process
wonderfully; To grow a tomato plant, first you need a good starting ground,
so you go out and get what you need. Some well-nourished healthy
soil and a suitable container or place to begin your project.
Then you plant a seed, give it water and sunlight as required,
and of course give it plenty of room to grow. So in order to be fully committed to our outcomes it is quite
reasonable to say that one must fully trust that the efforts
they are putting forth will yield them the results they seek.
Otherwise we quite simply won’t believe in our goal
enough to go the distance and reap the glorious rewards. P.s. “Best Boss" Transformational

Commitment and Success
The road to successfully reaching your goal can be
for some and at times a most challenging road to follow.
Commitment is a vital ingredient that is required to keep
you on the road to achieving your goals. Although many times
I have thought that I was fully committed, I have come to
realize that at times I really wasn’t.
I have, in the past had many successes, many of which could
have been significantly greater if I had just stayed committed.
I have come to realize that the degree or amount of success
that I achieve is greatly and directly related to the amount
of commitment I put forth.
Level of commitment directly affects your level of success.
I have often pondered how it is that I just wasn’t able
to go the distance, to truly commit. What happened?
Obstacles, failure (a word for achieving an undesired outcome),
and time are all just details that fall into place (resolve) as required
on the road to success, while you remain focused and committed
to achieving your goal.
As you watch it grow, you make changes as necessary and only
when necessary.
Although you do have an expectation of when the plant will
begin to yield tomatoes, you realize that this part is out
of your control. The plant will yield tomatoes only when it
is ready, not before and not on the demand of your ego. (although
I have seen many a person adding yelling and impatience to
their strategy…without success of course).
So what I suggest is:
Until
next time
Here’s to success
